Join your education and community engagement (EdCE) colleagues for an in-depth meeting that will examine career pathway programs for musicians from underrepresented groups. Together we’ll learn about the Nashville Symphony’s Accelerando program through the lens of its many stakeholders: musicians, participants, and the community. We’ll also take a look at a few other pathway programs in different parts of the country, including both new and well-established initiatives. Finally, we’ll make some time to speak honestly about the challenges and opportunities that surround programming designed to create systemic change within our field. This session is in addition to the constituency-group time for EdCE professionals, the agenda for which will be announced in mid-February when the full Conference website launches.
